Learn more about photography
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993, Halong means "Dragon Descent". According to legend, he went down into the bay to domesticate the marine currents. With the violent movements of his tail, he cut deeply into the mountain. As it plunged into the sea, it caused the waters to rise sharply, leaving only the highest peaks to appear.
