The Abeille Bourbon is a French high seas, assistance and rescue tug. It is an emblematic 80-meters vessel, which is on permanent standby in the port of Brest, in the Finistère region of France.
On 31 December 2006, the Abeille Bourbon left the Bay of Stiff downwind of the island of Ouessant to set sail on a barge more than 100 meters long drifting in the Ouessant rail.
"I owe this image to the talent of my pilot, who was flying that day for the last time." Philip Plisson
