Batz island
Learn more about photography
The Ponant Islands consist of 15 islands along the French coast between the English Channel and the Atlantic Ocean. These islands, which are still inhabited, have joined forces to maintain an active island life. The word Ponant was used by the French Navy and comes from "couchant" (where the sun sets) in opposition to "levant" (used for the fleet of ships based in the Mediterranean).
Batz Island is a discreet little island off the coast of Roscoff that will enchant you with its fauna, flora, mild climate and tropical garden. It's a complete escape from the mainland, just a few kilometres away. Hang the Ponant islands on your walls!
