Classified as a Historic Monument since 2011, the Île Vierge lighthouse was built at sea, between 1897 and 1902, 1.5 km from the coast. From the top of its 82.5 meters, it majestically illuminates the north of Finistère. The chapel of a convent, built in the 15th century and dedicated to the Virgin Mary, would be at the origin of its name.
