The first Pen Duick is a cutter made according to the plans of the architect William Fife III. He was bought by the Tabarly family in 1938 and it was on board that Eric Tabarly learned to sail. Pen Duick, means in Breton “small black head”. "A boat and a sailor dear to my heart." Philip Plisson
